Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort was probably one of the most talked about resorts in Cebu. I was pretty excited and this was one of the places I was looking forward to go to when we were in Cebu. The beach bum in me was having high expectations for the beach itself.
About Bluewater Sumilon Island:
Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is located at South Cebu. They offer day tours which is what we actually booked. With day tour, you can enjoy a taste of the island for a day without breaking the bank. For 2,000php you get to have free roundtrip boat transfers, welcome drinks, free parking spot, lunch buffet, complimentary use of mask and snorkel, towel, kayak, lagoon swimming pool, shower rooms, pedal boating, lagoon fish feeding and trekking. The resort also has the ever famous Sumilon sandbar which is open to the public.
Overall, I really did enjoy our stay in the island. The amenities and facilities were all so good and the activities were what I truly enjoyed. I was however a bit disappointed with the beach. It was not how I expected it to be. I’ve been to a more relaxing and nice beach. The one in the resort were too rocky and the sand were not foot friendly.
