Careline Play To Slay Palette Review
The packaging is straight to the point. It has minimal but cute designs/doodles on it. It has an acrylic packaging which I like but the only downside is it does not come with a mirror.
There are 4 shimmer shades and 8 matte shades. I like the color placement of the shadows in the palette as it has distributed the colors properly making it pleasing to the eyes. The shades lean more towards warm tones which is very fitting for the summer.
As for the formula, I have noticed that the mattes are very powdery so you might want to do your eye makeup first and the shimmers are close to being foiled which I like. The shadows are very pigmented for its price. I haven’t had a hard time blending it.
I like to use the blush on together. I mix both of the colors and it gives the perfect peachy pink shade on my cheeks. My only problem with the blush is its staying power. It is pigmented but only lasts on me for about 3-4 hours.
The highlighter might be my favorite from the Careline Play To Slay palette. The shade is perfect for my skintone, it stays on for a decent amount of time and is buildable! You can wear it as an everyday highlight or you can build it up to a blinding one. Love it!
Overall, I am impressed with Careline for putting out a good Play To Slay palette for a very affordable price. You get what you pay for and even more! If you want to practice your blending skills, I will highly recommend this palette. Rating it with 4/5 stars!
