For this post, i’ll be sharing to you my Maybelline Superstay foundation review. I have been constantly using this the past few days and I’m kind of loving it. I’m a bit late to the game but this is still worth reviewing. As I said in my previous haul post, i’m a bit skeptical at first when I saw beauty gurus from all around the world raving about this foundation. It just doesn’t speak to me and I do not find the packaging aesthetically pleasing. Apparently, this is a new improved version of their then superstay foundation which they already pulled out of the market.
This foundation contains 1 fluid ounce and has 16 different shades. It claims to be full coverage, up to 24-hour wear, seamless matte finish, breathable and comfortable, fade and transfer resistant, oil-free, doesn’t clog pores and dermatologist-tested. It retails for $9.49. If you are in the Philippines, the shade range only offers 6 different ones and retails for PHP 499.
I am NC20-25; Combo Skin; Oily on the T-zone, dry on other parts; Acne-prone, sensitive skin.
I have mine in the shade 128 Warm Nude which is a perfect match at first but this foundation oxidizes a lot so if you’ll be trying it, go for one or two shades lighter. I used a sponge for application and boy did it covered my blemishes. It has a thick consistency and blends like a butter! It stayed true to its claim of full coverage. I do not see the need to use a concealer when i’m using this. It dries down to a matte powdery finish but it does not crease or feel really drying on the skin. It really is comfortable to wear.
I am really impressed with this foundation. After 8 hours of wearing it, I do not see a lot of oil building up. The more it stays longer on my face, the more i’m liking it. It gives off a really nice sheen that makes you look healthy (does that makes sense? lol) and the great thing about this is it did not break me out. My acne-prone, sensitive skin is happy dancing right now! You definitely need to try this out! Rating this 4 stars out of 5!
